Taking care of your watch
- Don't undo the screw crown under water
- Don't use the chronograph pushers underwater
- Flat batteries must be changed promptly to minimise chances of leakage.
- Do not place your quartz watch next to a magnet as it may stop. This is especially relative to magnetic mattresses, tourist bands, welders etc.
- After swimming in the ocean rinse your watch under fresh water whilst simultaneously turning the bezel.
- Ensure your screw crown is always done up.
- Its preferable not to wear bangles or bracelets with your watch as it reduces the plating life.
- Its always recommended to take your watch to an authorised service centre or directly to the manufacturer for any servicing needs.
- Ensure your watch bracelet is shortened to the correct length to maximise its life.
- Spray on your perfume before you put on your dress watch.
- Leavin gyour watch in constant direct sunlight will reduce the life of your seals and luminosity.
- Water Resist refers to the pressure your watch can take, not that your able to wear it in the shower. The only watch companies that we deal with that may cover your warranty is Seiko and Adina for wearing in the shower. Your shower/bath is hot and steamy, the seals in your watches are rubber so can be damaged by this heat.
- Water Resist (3 Bar) - if this is inscribed on case back your watch is designed to withstand 3 bar, such as accidental contact with splashes of water or rain, but is not designed for wearing while swimming or diving.
- Water Resist (5 Bar) - if this is inscribed on case back your watch is able to withstand up to 5 bar and is suitable for wearing while swimming.
- Water Resist (10bar/15bar/20bar) - If this is inscribed on the case back, your watch is designed and maufactured to withstand up to 10bar / 15bar / 20bar, respectively, and is suitable for wearing while swimming, shallow diving, but not scuba diving.
